EINSTEIN SIGN MULTI-MILLION POUND DEAL WITH TAKE 3 TV

EINSTEIN GROUP have announced that they have agreed a revolving, multi-million pound, five-year co-production deal with the Take 3 TV Partnerships (Take 3).
The funds will be used to produce a broad range of British television programmes, providing both high quality programming for transmission on the Einstein Group’s digital tv channel, einstein.tv, and for licensing overseas to other broadcasters.
Under the terms of the agreement, Take 3 will provide a minimum of £1 million to co-funding the channel’s production output. Subject to agreement between the two parties, the £1 million fund will then revolve for a further 4 years.
Both Einstein and Take 3 will share in the income from the licensing of the programming, both for television transmission and on DVD. Einstein Entertainment, the programme production division of Einstein Group will co-produce the programmes with Take 3 for completion by the end of the current tax year. The production process will be repeated next year and for the following three years after that.
Martin Sherwood, a Teather & Greenwood Director and Managing Partner of Take 3, said: “Take 3 are very excited by the prospect of working with Einstein on such an innovative basis. British producers are internationally renowned for science programming, and we are delighted to be part of Einstein’s ambitions in this area. We believe that this could be the first of many such deals for the new digital TV channels which are emerging as the UK leads the world the digital TV era.” (CD)
