ZOMBIE NATION CHOOSE VP-1
TL AUDIO based in Letchworth, Herts, have announced that Florian Senfter of Zombie Nation is one of the first high profile artists to take delivery of their new VP-1 Valve Processor.
The Munich based DJ and Producer - whose ‘Kernkraft 400’ single was one of Europe’s biggest selling dance records of 2000 - has recently added a pair of VP-1s to his own studio where the single was created.
Senfter said: “Since I’ve bought the VP-1s they’ve been used nearly all the time, and have given me an ‘extra something’ over the Ivory 5051 that I still own. The VP-1 is used as a front end mic pre for vocals, guitar and sampling, and as a compressor/EQ for analogue synths - with great results. The unit offers so many creative possibilities, and has a character that just can’t be simulated by any plug-in out there.”
The VP-1 is a mono ‘channel strip’ product that boasts valve & class A preamp stages and independent gate, de-esser, valve/optical compressor, equaliser and peak limiter sections. An optional 24/96 digital output card is also provided. (CD)
