'WALKING WITH BEASTS' DEPLOYS TITAN SOUNDTRACK

BBC TELEVISION'S ‘Walking with Beasts’ is one of the latest high profile documentary projects to deploy the TITAN soundtrack conforming solution from Synchro Arts, the UK-based designers of an award-winning range of audio processing software.
TV and film sound specialists Loudhailer, based in Soho, London, used TITAN extensively on the sequel to the ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ series, reporting that it ‘saved hours of work’.
Loudhailer's Kenny Clark said: "TITAN have simply made my life easier. On ‘Walking with Beasts’, it completely changed the way we worked, enabling us to work hand in hand with the editors and animators at Framestore who deal with all the visual elements.
"Being able to recut quickly is an absolute boon - allowing a freedom that was previously unachievable. It also means that we have a real competitive edge - something we all fight hard to achieve! For example, on the feature film project - SW9 - we were able to implement the recuts in the middle of our tracklaying session, allowing the production to delay locking the soundtrack to the picture.
"We chose TITAN on the basis of our experience with other Synchro Arts' products - principally VocALign. TITAN enables us to do in seconds what would have taken hours before. I can cut up the sessions to the Edit Decision List (EDL) and then insert each section into the correct position - it is surprisingly quick and easy to use."
Loudhailer is equipped with four Digidesign ProTools 5.1 systems, with a fully equipped dubbing theatre located in The Hat Factory in Soho. The IMAX film ‘Human Bodies’ is currently occupying many of their waking hours, on which the team also uses Synchro Arts' unique VocALign(r) audio alignment software. (CD)
