RAI choose Drake PiCo system for regional studio

Drake Electronics have won an order for a 4000 Series II PiCo system from RAI in Italy.
The order was placed via their Italian distributor Video Progetti srl.
The PiCo system will replace an existing analogue matrix at RAI’s regional studio in Torino and is part of the digital upgrade of the facility.
Comprising a 4000 Series II PiCo matrix and eight of the new Refresh range of user panels, RAI will be taking delivery of the system by the end of January 2003.
Packed with features, PiCo has been designed with small studios, OBs and production facilities in mind. With 22kHz audio bandwidth and packing an incredible 32 ports into 1RU of rack space, PiCo features an integral LCD user interface with six user definable system maps.
Rapid configuration changes can be made quickly and easily from the front of the frame without connecting a PC. An additional four audio ports are available for general purpose audio applications, such as two-wire beltpacks, giving a combined total of 36 ports.
