The Horror Channel increases broadcast hours following encouraging ratings
The Horror Channel is to bring its daily start time forward to 2pm from Monday May 31 following independent BARB ratings revealing 3.45 million viewers tuned in during the channel’s opening 16 days.
The move comes only one month after the channel’s launch and allows it to expand its programming to include murder-mystery movies in pre-watershed slots.
Managing director Tony Hazell commented: “The Horror Channel’s phenomenal 0.06% audience share is in addition to nearly one million hits on our website. This clearly shows the horror genre’s broad appeal as it makes its bold resurgence into the mainstream.”
