Curious gFx Pro v2.0 now beta-testing

Hard on the heels of the February launch of v1.5, version 2.0 of Curious gFx Pro is now in beta testing.
Some of the key new features of Curious gFx Pro and gFx Pro+ are: A comprehensive new brush editor, incorporating a preview canvas for testing brushes, the assignment of keyboard shortcuts to brushes, and the ability to choose from 21 new blending modes for brush application; A new eraser brush; New tools for paint-roto and retouch, including the ability to invert the background in onion skinning for easier line-up of images; and four user-definable backup stores for saving different backgrounds and transformations to be used in merge painting – with assignable keyboard shortcuts for selection of each store; Support for rational b-spines in the creation of roto-mattes, allowing much more control over the shape and animation of curves; The addition of an animated ‘Active’ switch on curve points, allowing roto-mattes to be created with different numbers of points from frame to frame – and thus making it easier to cope with features which appear and disappear during movement.
Also a variety of additional Filters, including a new automatic wire removal filter, and filters for adding and removing film grain; A comprehensive new keyframe editor / timeline including cut, copy and paste of keys; folding of layers and parameter groups for easier viewing; and a new curve editor for creation and editing of animation curves within the keyframe editor; The ability to render only frames which have been changed – saving both time and disk space on the final output of a project; and reduced resolution flipbooks for faster playback of high-resolution material.
