RTI launch upgraded recycling system for Betacam tapes

Research Technology International (RTI) have announced that the TapeChek Pro Line 4100 DLS, which features automatic sensing of all sizes and types of Betacam tapes, will meet the needs of Betacam SP, SX, IMX, HDCAM and Digital Betacam users.
A new Laser SCAN Detection System reliably locates physical damage, wrinkles, and creases. Evaluates blank or recorded tapes. Tape Information Display provides reports of defect data and tape length, plus machine diagnostics and setup information.
The TapeChek Pro Line 4100DLS vacuum-assisted wiping tissues and precision dual sapphire burnishing system remove dust, dirt and loose particles that cause dropouts. Performance is improved and your tapes can be reused with confidence.
Pro Line 4100DLS works quickly up to 25 times Betacam NTSC speed (30x PAL). Fully automatic the unit accepts any Betacam cassette, identifies the tape format and starts the cleaning-evaluation cycle. It can even compensate for timing differences between digital and analog formats when measuring tape running time.
Optional ERASE provides complete full-width erasure of oxide and metal Betacam tapes when selected. An optional built-in printer provides a comprehensive report of tape condition and locations of tape damage.
