SMOKE & MIRRORS JOIN FORCES WITH RED CAR

London high-end post production facility Smoke & Mirrors (S&M) have joined forces with pan-US editing boutique Red Car in an arrangement that will make some of the world’s best creative, visual effects talent available to advertising agencies across the US.
Formed six years ago, S&M are the original artists’ studio specialising in visual effects. The company works with many of the most prolific and talented directors in the world, and regularly outputs cutting-edge commercials and music videos. Recent projects include spots for BT directed by RSA’s Jake Scott, Smirnoff Red by Daniel Kleinman from Spectre, and Mercedes Benz directed Gerard de Thame, which recently aired across the US.
The company offers, and attracts, highly-skilled digital artists, and have just completed a radical upgrade of their front-line visual effects technologies to reinforce their position as a world-class provider of creative visual effects.
Red Car is a premier US editing boutique with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and San Francisco. Notorious for its outrageously creative style, Red Car's legacy includes such trend-setting work as Michael Jackson's ‘Beat It’ and Nike's award-winning, ‘The Wall’.
Red Car is to represent S&M in the US, contacting agencies and production companies with a high-end visual effects requirement. On projects involving S&M services, Red Car will lead the project with the local client, and oversee each stage of the post production process. S&M will provide shoot supervision as required, with digital artists also being made available to work locally in the US. Editors and clients will collaborate via AVA anywhere the project is edited with face-to-face contact with S&M artists and the ability to review and approve full resolution visual effects. (CD)
