Mike Smith joins Alias Smith & Singh full-time
Mike Smith, former technical operations manager at Metro Broadcast in London, has left the company to concentrate full-time on Alias Smith & Singh Broadcast Hire.
Smith spent more than three years at Metro, where he helped launch the company’s audio and video restoration services. He now brings his technical expertise to business partner Balvinder ‘Singh’ Sanghera at the duo’s Newman Street offices.
Smith said: “After developing Metro’s technical services, I have now decided to join Bal full-time to exploit a number of exciting expansion opportunities for Alias Smith & Singh.”
Alias Smith & Singh locates its hire equipment in W1 for easy (and free) delivery across Central London. The company offers not just VTRs, but additional commonly requested items such as monitors, scopes and legalisers.
Alias Smith & Singh is currently working with Long Way Round on a motorbike documentary series featuring Ewan McGregor and has supplied equipment for the last three series of BBC1’s daytime programme, ‘City Hospital’.
