Masstech To Introduce Kumulate At CABSAT 2020

Masstech will be using CABSAT 2020, which takes place 31 March to 2 April at the Dubai World Trade Centre, to introduce Kumulate, its new intelligent storage and asset lifecycle management platform, to the Middle East and North African markets.

The result of an intensive industry consultation, Kumulate offers media and entertainment organisations a route through the many current industry transitions taking place in storage, media, and workflow.

Kumulate's powerful content management, workflow orchestration and storage optimization modules manage the flow of your content from ingest through to playout, using automated workflows to ensure that your content is always in the right place, at the right time, and in the correct format. Kumulate helps companies modernize their content management, bringing cloud storage, multi-format file transformations, AI and other edge technologies into optimized workflows that deliver significant operational efficiencies.

Kumulate's content management features an intuitive UI that allows operators to quickly search and browse assets located on any storage tier of any site, to enrich content metadata, to scrub proxies and catalogue, tag and add segment markers for partial file restore.

The Kumulate Orchestrator module enables customers to automate multi-vendor and multi-format file transformations across unlimited storage tiers in a hybrid cloud environment. It streamlines metadata interchange between third-party systems and metadata enrichment services to drive greater value from their assets.

For users looking to migrate content, Kumulate Orchestrator features automated tools for migrating content across hardware versions, storage tiers (e.g. tape to cloud) or from legacy systems to the next generation of storage platforms. Other standard workflows include publishing to specific formats (e.g. YouTube and Facebook), bulk transcoding, and auto-archive for iNEWS, ENPS and other NRCS systems. AI and machine learning services such as facial or object recognition, or speech-to-text transcribing can be plugged into any workflow to generate rich metadata that is stored alongside the assets and searchable from anywhere.

Kumulate also integrates seamlessly into Avid and Adobe production environments, allowing editors to manage their asset storage from directly within editing applications and workflows, and to maximize efficiency of local disk and cloud storage with features such as Partial File Restore of sequences and projects in deep storage.
