COUNTDOWN TO DIGITAL MEDIA WORLD 2001

WITH less than a month to go before Digital Media World kicks off at Olympia, exhibitors are now starting to announce their plans for the show.
Softimage will be using the exhibition to showcase SOFTIMAGE|XSI v2.0, launched at SIGGRAPH. The 3D nonlinear animation tool, with over 2500 new features, will be shown on the Softimage main stage, and also in three special seminars in the GameZone Theatre, where well-known XSI demo artist Chinny will demonstrate XSI 2.0’s capabilities particularly suited to the games market. Softimage, who will be joined on the stand by Avid Premier Reseller Tyrell, will also demonstrate the latest version of Avid|DS v5 and Avid Xpress DV.
Discreet are launching combustion 2 in the UK in October and November; Digital Media World is the host for its first demonstration at a major UK digital content creation exhibition. Discreet will also be showing 3ds max 4, mental ray, character studio and edit 6.5.
