NEW DESKS AND BETTER SOUND AT SAIN

WELSH company Sain Records, based near Caernarfon in North Wales, have not been able to record in any of their studios for months due to major refurbishment and installation of new equipment.
Studio One has had a new desk. The Amek Rembrandt has 56 channels and has more flexibility and better sound quality. It also has a Total Recall system with a hard disk recorder called IZ systems Radar 24. This enables them to record digitally, dub music or edit music for films. It replaces the Harrison MR3 desk which only had 36 channels.
Studio Two has also had a new digital desk called Yamah 02R for editing, dubbing videos, voice-overs, tape mastering and post production. A new booth and carpets have also been installed.
As well as recording in the studio or on location, the company records for private companies throughout Britain. As well as producing their own videos, CD-Roms and Enhanced CDs, they duplicate and distribute Videos and DVDs for the BBC and HTV and other major enterprises. Some of the most popular videos are Fishlock’s Wildtrack, Rugby classics, Shakespeare and the Bible in Animation. Welsh children’s titles are also popular, and Sain has the copyright to produce Welsh versions of Eric Hill’s Spot the Loveable Dog and Beatrix Potter classics such as Peter the Rabbit.
