Sony To Showcase VENICE And FX9 At Camerimage In Poland

Sony has announced it will return to the international film festival Camerimage in Toruń, Poland, to showcase its next generation motion picture camera system VENICE, as well as the newly-launched FX9 Full-Frame 6K sensor camera.

Sony will also present a number of workshops, seminars and panel discussions with leading filmmakers and DoPs.

A number of films being shown in Camerimage's main and Polish competitions - including the festival's opening movie “An Officer and A Spy”, directed by Roman Polanski and shot by Pawel Edelman - were shot on VENICE.

"At Sony, we are committed to giving filmmakers the tools they need to make their creative vision a reality. Every year, Camerimage is a great opportunity for us to gather insights and talk to our customers," commented Claus Pfeifer, Head of Connected Content Acquisition, Sony Professional Solutions Europe. "The community helped us to develop both, the FX9 and VENICE, and we wish all the competition movies shot on VENICE the best of luck!"
