Jellyfish Pictures Appoints Director Of Operations

Jellyfish Pictures has appointed Matthew Bristowe to Director of Operations.

Benefiting from both a creative and commercial background in some of the biggest VFX studios in the world, Bristowe’s hire solidifies Jellyfish Pictures’ continued expansion.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Bristowe joins Jellyfish Pictures after a stint as Head of Production at Technicolor. During his 20 years in the industry, Bristowe has overseen hundreds of productions with an enviable roster of credits under his belt including; Aladdin (Disney), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (LucasFilm/Disney), Avengers: Age Of Ultron (Marvel) Guardians Of The Galaxy (Marvel) and in 2014 was honoured with the Advanced Imaging Society’s Lumiere™ Award for his work on Alfonso Cuarón’s Academy Award-winning Gravity. In other award-winning turns, Bristowe led the One Of Us VFX team to success in the category of Best Visual and Graphic Effects at the BAFTA’s and Best Digital Effects at the Royal Television Society Awards for The Crown Season 1 and a further RTS award and BAFTA nomination in 2018 for The Crown Season 2.

Prior to working with Technicolor and One of Us, Bristowe held senior positions at MPC, and Prime Focus.
