Hi Tech controls TVE archive transfers

Hi Tech Systems has supplied 15 HT884c Cue Controller panels to TVE Madrid via its Spanish reseller.
These are for use in the transfer of material of long-term value that is currently stored on B-format 1-inch reels to modern SX and IMX half-inch cassettes.
These were not standard off-the-shelf units as, crucial to the contract, the HT884c panels should include control of all involved VTRs, including the long discontinued B-format BCN51’s. Hi Tech completed the required modifications to add the BCN interface inside the panels and to offer the same style of operation, including jog/shuttle and the full range of controls, for all the VTRs.
The controllers at TVE offer simultaneous control of up to four VTRs allowing the selection, cueing and replay of B-format material as well as cueing and running the SX and IMX recorders. With the capability to create accurate cut edits to assemble the material onto the new digital formats, an entire transfer operation can take place from a single HT884c panel.

The HT800 range offers a series of versatile panels for controlling a wide range of DDRs (Digital Disk Recorders) and VTRs for recording, cuing and replay modes including jog/shuttle and, in the case of HT800s panels, smooth slow motion accessed via a T-bar. Applications range from live hands-on operation of recorders to cut editing.
