JVC announce complete DVD publishing suite

The new BD-X200E from JVC is a Professional DVD publishing suite that provides the fastest complete professional DVD authoring solution available.
The professional DVD recorder creates original DVD material and combines the ease of use of consumer DVD recorders with the power and flexibility of professional DVD authoring solutions. The result is that the BD-X200E allows for the fastest possible transfer of video and audio content to DVD, whether from a live, or tape source, or non-linear editing system.
The BD-X200E has one touch recording as well as a range of video and audio IO including composite, S-Video and DV (IEEE-1394).
The BD-X200E comes complete with free, menu creation software, enabling users to customise DVD menus and chapter points with ease and for label and jewel case creation. Chapter Points on DVD can be created either manually, at user selectable intervals or via a standard Edit Decision List (EDL). Using the BD-X200E's DV emulation mode a program from a non-linear editing system can be authored direct to the DVD disc via a IEEE-1394 Firewire. The software also allows for the creation of jewel case and disc label design.
The synchro-record mode enables simultaneous recording direct to DV tape for editing and preparation of an un-edited DVD. Together with the GY-DV5000 camera, the BD-X200E synchro-recording function allows, for example, a filmed speech by guest speaker to be given an unedited DVD of their speech almost straight after they have finished talking.
