A Crazy Monster Insight TV Adventure
When we launched Insight TV in 2015, we knew we had to do something quite distinct from what was already available. This meant taking leadership for the type of content we commissioned and produced, how that content was created and also how it was delivered. The answer was unique, authentic programmes targeting millennials in 4K UHD HDR.
Our production philosophy, and also our creative partnerships with brands like Monster Energy, have allowed us to push the boundaries in terms of the unique content that we create and the locations and situations in which we shoot; which are often dangerous and always awe inspiring. A typical production schedule can see the team filming the lives of famous drift racers in South Africa such as Ken Block, as they prepare to take on the world class Gymkhana Grid race ('Road to Gymkhana Grid'), to telling the inspirational story of Sweden's Emma Dahlstrom, a top freestyle skier who triumphed over adversity after some catastrophic injuries to win at the 2015 Winter X Games ('Born To') and the daring adventures of MTB athletes like Sam Reynolds and Matt Madcuff "Loop of Doom" ('DarkFest').
Our strong production partnership with Monster Energy has continued to grow. We've created inspirational shows based on thought provoking characters, highlighting topical issues and experiences. These shows feature high profile social influencers and must-watch super talents based on sports, lifestyle and ecological topics that focus on the individuals behind the theme. We tell their stories, documenting the sacrifices they have made and the journey they've travelled to reach their potential.
'Born To', scheduled to launch later this year, provides a platform for extraordinary people who overcome major trauma and challenges in their personal and professional lives. The 13 episode series of inspiring documentary films allows these courageous characters to tell their stories in the most genuine way. Each episode of this stunningly visual show follows an inspirational individual highlighting their passion, drive and motivation, as they refuse to accept the cruel hand that life has dealt and continue to strive to reach their dreams.
Earlier this year, building on the success of the first season, we launched the second season of 'Secrets of DarkFest', providing mountain bike fans around the world with exciting, behind-the-scenes, no holds barred content that delves into the trials and tribulations of creating one of the world's craziest mountain bike (MTB) events. The 2018 event had a new location in Stellenbosch, South Africa, old and new MTB faces, a bigger course and insane jumps that even the craziest MTB Heroes likely found daunting. Fans got to see how the world's biggest MTB challenge is organised, how the riders prepare, how they ride the course and master the jumps, how they relax and everything in between.
In the Spring this year, we premiered our feature documentary 'Road to Gymkhana Grid' in London to an audience packed with famous faces from the motor racing world. Bringing viewers closer than ever to the burning rubber of Ken Block's notorious drifting competition, 'Road to Gymkhana Grid' provided a backstage glimpse into the lives of several top racers including Ken Block, Petter Solberg, Shane Lynch, Luke Woodham, Adam Elder, Nikolett Szanto and Dmitrij Sribnyj as they took on the latest event, held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The show combines drifting, drag racing and physical driving skill with mental agility, speed and precision. Drivers from all over the world take part in this event, but only a few make it to the finish line!
Over the past three years we've grown significantly and our content is available in different languages on platforms and smart TVs around the world. We have more exciting shows with Monster in the pipeline and we look forward to seeing how the fans react to the latest, craziest Monster Insight TV adventures.
