C5 APPOINT DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

MTV's David Pullan is to become Channel 5's new Director of Marketing and Communications.
Pullan, currently Vice President, Marketing and Digital Channels at MTV Networks, UK and Ireland, will take up his role in the New Year.
His responsibilities at 5 will include: managing the channel's consumer and trade marketing; press and PR; on-air promotions; strategic planning and duty office.
Pullan, 33, succeeds Jim Hytner who left 5 in September this year to become Marketing and Commercial Director at ITV.
Channel 5 Chief Executive, Dawn Airey, said: "I'm thrilled we have been able to attract someone of David's calibre to fill this crucial role in the company. His appointment comes at what is a very exciting time for the channel and I'm sure he'll take our already acclaimed marketing to new heights."
Pullan said: "I am delighted to be joining the team at Channel 5. The brand has an amazing track record in its short history, and a very bright future.
