STREAMS OF LAUGHTER AT THE FIRST BIG DEBATE

BRIGHTON-based media and events producers AVT Limited, have filmed the first of a series of Big Debates relating to the Brighton & Hove Celebrating Diversity Campaign, and made it available for viewing on the Internet using video streaming technology.
Celebrities Graham Norton and Sandi Toksvig led a lively and humorous public debate entitled ‘Have they stopped laughing at us and started laughing with us?’ The debate was chaired by Simon Fanshawe and was about the contribution lesbian and gay humour has made to tackling homophobia.
Sharma Hadrill of AVT said: “We are very pleased to be co-sponsoring the Big Debates, which are designed to inspire all of us to value our differences and challenge discrimination. By video streaming this debate on the Internet, we are helping to spread this important message to both our immediate and broader communities.”
