C4 To Broadcast Live F1 In 2018

Channel 4 has confirmed that it will carry the live broadcast of ten Formula 1® Grands Prix in 2018, which will include the 2018 Formula 1 British Grand Prix on 8th July and the 2018 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix on 27th May.

As part of its deal with Formula One World Championship Limited, Channel 4 will broadcast live coverage of ten Grands Prix, including practice sessions, qualifying and in depth race analysis.

Channel 4 will also broadcast extensive highlights of all other Formula 1® races in the 2018 season, with all live races and highlights programmes available to watch live (simulcast) and on demand on All 4.

All live races will be broadcast without advertising breaks.
Tens of millions of viewers tuned in to Channel 4's live coverage and extensive highlights programmes across 2017 as Lewis Hamilton took his fourth FIA Formula One World Championship™. Channel 4's award-winning coverage, produced by Whisper Films, was frequently the most watched programme over its time slot.

Channel 4's 2018 coverage opens on 25 March with build up to, and comprehensive highlights coverage of the 2018 FORMULA 1 ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX weekend. Channel 4's first live race will be the 2018 FORMULA 1 GULF AIR BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX broadcast over the weekend of 7th April.

Following a picks process with Sky Sports, the full list of races broadcast live by Channel 4 is:
• Bahrain –8th April
• Azerbaijan – 29th April
• Monaco –27th May
• Austria –1st July
• Great Britain –8th July
• Belgium – 26th August
• Singapore – 16th September
• Japan – 7th October
• USA – 21st October
• Abu Dhabi – 25th November

Channel 4, the terrestrial home of live free to air Formula 1® coverage, will broadcast all live and highlights coverage in high definition.

Steve Jones presents Channel 4's Formula1® coverage with expert analysis provided by 13-time Grands Prix winner David Coulthard who will be joined by special guests throughout the season such as Mark Webber, winner of nine Grands Prix and Scottish racing driver, former Williams F1® test driver Susie Wolf and former racing driver and team boss Eddie Jordan.

Formula Asia Championship winner and former GP2 Series driver Karun Chandhok takes the role of Technical Analyst and Lee Mckenzie resumes her role as Channel 4's Formula1® reporter and commentary will be provided by Coulthard and Ben Edwards. Special guests will join the team at races throughout the season.
