BenQ Debuts W1700 Home Cinema Projector
BenQ has announced details of the CineHome W1700 DLP projector, delivering 4K UHD HDR home cinema to all audiences.
The W1700 features 8.3 megapixel UHD 4K resolution, CinematicColor™ accuracy, and projection-optimized HDR, for true-to-life image quality.
Producing 8.3 million distinct pixels for true 4K UHD performance, the W1700 utilises 0.47” single-DMD DLP technology to minimize the projector's compact profile, convenient for households, and pure 4K-optimized optical system for image precision and colour accuracy without artifacts.
The W1700's 4K video quality is supercharged by HDR support (the HDR function supports HDR 10 content), offering greater brightness and contrast range with auto image optimization, to bring out every detail for cinematic enjoyment. In addition, full support for the latest HDCP 2.2 copy protection lets users enjoy all the fast-growing choices for 4K content.
Preserving authentic cinematic colours, the projector employs exclusive BenQ CinematicColor™ technology and RGBRGB colour wheel to meet the film industry's colour accuracy standard. With more than 96% coverage of the Rec. 709 colour gamut with precise Delta E<3 performance, the W1700 reproduces what filmmakers intended.
Looking at the W1700's audiovisual performance, this is enhanced by proprietary CinemaMaster Video+ and CinemaMaster Audio+ technology.
Equipped with auto keystone correction and 1.2X zoom to accommodate any space, the W1700 can be established without complicated installation hassle. The W1700 can also becomes a smart projector by connecting an HDMI dongle, such as BenQ QCast/QCast Mirror, Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire TV Stick, to instantly stream TV shows, movies, sports, and video games onto the big screen.
Powered by Digital Light Processing, the W1700 delivers long-lasting picture quality with precise colours and clarity without maintenance or degradation.
The W1700 will be available in Europe in early January 2018 with an MSRP of £1,599 (including VAT).
