Broadcasters Sign Up For IABM Conference
IABM is to open its Annual International Business Conference to broadcasters and media organisations for a day later this year. The event takes place on 30 November to 1 December at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow, London.
The complimentary places have already been taken up by more than 20 senior broadcast and media executives, including BBC, BBC R&D, Bebop Technology, BT Media and Broadcast, CPC Unternehmens management AG, ES Broadcast, Formula One Management, New Media, Saudi Broadcasting Corporation, Sky, SpaceTech TV Engineering, Sports Information Services, TF1, Time Mobiles, Turner Broadcasting, UKTV and VICE Media.
The initiative is part of a wider IABM strategy to provide open forums for collaboration on shared interests and opportunities between its members – broadcast and media technology suppliers – and their customers.
Under the banner 'Elevating Business – Media and Technology Working Together', the first day of the conference will focus on the effects the rapid changes brought on by IT and IP technology adoption are having on both vendors and end-users; from how projects are being designed, how people are buying and selling, to how IP and IT-enabled systems are being integrated and made interoperable, and how this differs from country to country.
More complimentary places for broadcast and media organisations are still available on a first come, first served basis here.
Peter White, CEO, IABM, said: "The ever increasing rate of change in the broadcast and media industry means that suppliers and users of technology simply have to work together in a new, more collaborative way to continue to thrive. The fact that so many broadcast and media companies have already signed up for our annual conference clearly shows that we are pushing against an open door by creating such a forum. We look forward to a better informed discussion and elevated business as a result for all participants."
