Commedia To Demonstrate Advanced Network Optimisation Solutions at Broadcast India

News Image
Commedia – who were recently named a Bridge Technologies business partner for the country - will present Bridge Technologies' extensive range of solutions for managing, troubleshooting and optimising network performance, at Broadcast India.

Commedia, who will be on stand B.218, specialises in developing, integrating and operating high performance media and broadcast ecosystems for broadcasters and service providers. The company constantly focuses on meeting and exceeding customer expectations; on value creation; and on providing innovative solutions that can lead to competitive advantage for its customers.

James Chance, Regional Manager, APAC for Bridge Technologies, said: "The TV and media marketplace in India is enormous – and still growing rapidly. As such, we're delighted to be working with Commedia to help them make the most of the significant opportunity, leveraging Bridge Technologies' market-leading technologies and platforms combined with its own experience and expertise in networks, to help cable companies and satellite companies differentiate themselves through superior Quality of Experience. The Commedia stand at Broadcast India provides the ideal opportunity for Indian broadcasters and media network managers to find out how organisations around the world are taking advantage of our advanced capabilities."

C.S. Raghava Rao, MD and Founder of Commedia, said: "Network monitoring is still not widely deployed by Indian broadcasters, so adding Bridge Technologies products to our offering was very attractive to us, as it enables us to offer even more complete, end-to-end solutions to our customers.

"Consumers in India are becoming increasingly discerning and sophisticated, and broadcast network operators need to respond with the outstanding quality of service that is becoming an expectation. We are ideally placed to help them respond, and look forward to talking to them at Broadcast India about how we and Bridge Technologies can help them."

Among the products on show on the Commedia stand is the Bridge Technologies NOMAD portable probe, the ideal solution for cable companies with extensive networks. Designed for mobile engineers to use anywhere throughout the network, it is an all-in-one, self-contained monitoring and analysis solution that enables fast, simple and cost-effective identification of network problems that can negatively impact customer Quality of Experience.

With comprehensive IP packet analysis tools, NOMAD is ideal for IP transport understanding regardless of media transported, and features almost every conceivable interface for media signal monitoring and analysis.

Commedia is also showcasing a selection of Bridge Technologies' other probes, all of which take advantage of MediaWindow™, a patented technology for complete access to packet behaviour and media loss information. It displays MPEG over IP traffic performance in a single, composite graph within a graphical user interface that is packed with essential information, yet intuitive and easy to read.
