Pixit Media To Make IBC Debut

Pixit Media have announced that they will make their IBC debut in 2017, following on from a significant period of growth in the Post Production, Visual Effect and Broadcast industries with office openings in North American and Germany.

Pixit Media will be showcasing a number of ground breaking feature enhancements to their software-defined scale-out storage solution PixStor that extend far beyond their consistent, guaranteed performance benefits, including:

• PixStor Analytics: PixStor Analytics offers an easy to use web interface to regularly track and inspect the usage of PixStor and associated Tape and Cloud pools, enabling customers to rapidly determine who, what and how and where capacity is being used.

• PixStor Search: PixStor Search is an end to end frame work for the curation and search of user and application-defined metadata. Search automatically extracts metadata from the data contained on PixStor, allowing otherwise lost assets to be quickly discovered through an intelligent web interface that provides proxied previews of media for rapid guided selection. Search is provided with a customer-enabled plug-in architecture for developing new methods of metadata extraction and a RESTful API for integration with 3rd party applications such as Media Asset Management (MAM) systems. Search leverages PixStor's policy engine for extremely rapid ingestion of new and changed data, avoiding slow tree-walk operations common with similar systems that can take days or even weeks. Search also integrates directly with PixStor analytics, offering unlimited new dimensions for file system-driven data discovery and analysis.
