Khronos Group welcome LSI Logic, Toshiba and XCE as Contributor Members

The Khronos Group have announced that LSI Logic, Toshiba and XCE have all joined as Contributing level Members to work with the 40+ other Khronos Group Members to develop and deploy OpenGL ES as the standard graphics API for 3D handheld applications.
The Khronos Group is a consortium focused on the development and deployment of OpenGL ES and OpenML, two royalty-free, open standard APIs that enable authoring and playback of dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices.
These new members will participate in the ongoing development of OpenGL ES, which defines subset profiles of OpenGL and brings advanced 3D graphics to a wide range of embedded systems; and OpenML 1.0, which enables developers to easily integrate video, audio and graphics capabilities into their application suites.
All Khronos Members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification and conformance testing drafts.
