Reducing Production Costs With Template-Based Solutions

When specialized and smaller broadcasters want to compete in content quality with larger broadcasters, they often find the inherent limitations of budgetary constraints and availability of resources.

Brainstorm is developing a range of easy-to-use template-based solutions to help these channels to provide high quality output when resources are scarce.

Brainstorm has developed the highest quality real-time 3D graphics and virtual set solutions for more than 20 years. Virtual set technology itself helped to reduce production costs as it allowed for better space management and optimized production requirements, and the company decided to make some of this advanced technology available to a wider range of users. This can be achieved by using template-based solutions that play out to air content created with pre-defined, purpose-built templates.

Using this approach, specialized, smaller and local TV stations can provide great looking programs even if they do not have the resources to create their own applications. The template defines which elements are editable and to what extent, allowing for simple operation, and limited to the customization possibilities of each template.
