P3 POST PURCHASE XYTECH ENTERPRISE SYSTEM

XYTECH Systems UK, a leading provider of media asset and workflow management software, have announced the recent sale of an Enterprise system to major post-production facility P3 Post.
Enterprise is Xytech’s solution for fully integrated facility and asset management; it is modular and can be customised to suit each client’s needs.
P3 has opted to start with the Scheduling module and has plans to implement other Enterprise components at a later stage.
Enterprise will replace a mixture of Filemaker Pro databases and a paper diary at P3’s busy facility which, in just seven years, has grown from a three suite facility to 16 suites housed over two sites.
Martin Price, Facilities Director, P3, said: “We have felt for some time that we needed a more reliable scheduling system. We looked at various systems and concluded that Enterprise is by far the most robust and flexible; it is also easy and logical to use.
“Enterprise is the dominant facility management system in the industry, so new people coming to P3 will be able to use it with minimal training. Its open architecture also gives us the option of integrating Enterprise with other systems in the future.”

Xytech Enterprise has been designed to help companies maximise the use of their staff, equipment, rooms, and reports on utilisation rates, costs and profit margins. The modular system application is an open architecture solution that supports multiple sites, companies, divisions, currencies and languages.
P3 Post was among the first facility in Soho built solely on the new generation of affordable non-linear technology, and pioneered the use of Mac-based editing systems for programme finishing. P3 was also among first companies in the world to install Softimage DS (now Avid|DS), Avid Symphony and Avid Unity, a server-based shared storage solution.
Currently running 16 suites across 2 sites in Soho, P3 handles a diverse range of broadcast and corporate productions for clients including BBC, Channel 4, MTV, Jack Morton
Wordwide and other blue-chip organisations.
The system will be installed in P3’s Lexington Street facility by the end of February. (SP)
