StorNext 5 is the industry's leading collaborative content production and archive platform, offering a unique combination of performance, low-cost capacity and easy access for content creators and owners ranging from the smallest post houses to the world's largest media brands. Quantum will highlight StorNext 5.4, released in December 2016, and updates that bring greater efficiency and flexibility to media content management.

Enhancements include the ability to integrate existing public cloud storage accounts and third-party object storage (private cloud) as archive tiers in a StorNext-managed media environment. StorNext 5.4 also enables users to deploy applications embedded within StorNext-powered Xcellis workflow storage appliances.

Quantum will showcase the award-winning Xcellis system and demonstrate how its unique converged capabilities empower users to boost their efficiency, productivity and creativity in delivering the products and services that drive their businesses. In addition to supporting embedded applications, Xcellis consolidates media management and extends connectivity options for both Fibre Channel and Ethernet clients in a single hardware solution.

Quantum will demonstrate the execution of applications via virtual machines within Xcellis, showing how this approach reduces the need for dedicated application servers and provides a flexible foundation for future technologies and workflows.

Quantum also will feature its Lattus object storage, which offers the low latency and massive scalability that are essential in modern high-resolution workflows.
