Fiilex: Lighting Up BSC Expo 2017

January 2017 will see further expansion of Octica's lighting division with the addition of a new brand of Fresnel style LED lighting technology to their distribution portfolio.

Octica and US based Fiilex have signed a distribution agreement that will see Octica become their exclusive distributor for the UK & Ireland. As part of the DiCon Fibre Optics Group, Fiilex utilise their own in-house designed and manufactured Dense Matrix LED technology in all their lighting fixtures. The Dense Matrix LED, allows for more LEDs closer together on a single array. This allows for all the chips to emit through a single lens, making for an effective point source light, that creates a single shadow. The array consists of multichannel LED's which gives the ability to colour tune the light.

The Fiilex brand was created within DiCon to bring the power of the Dense Matrix LED to the Film/Broadcasting/Photography industries. Since its start, Fiilex has won major contracts in the broadcast market, become established around the world and is one of the newest and most sought after lighting brands in the market.

Fiilex's Dense Matrix LED technology is available in different formats and industry standard sizes, with all offering variable colour temperature and DMX control whilst delivering a true LED "greener" alternative to existing out-of-date & power hungry tungsten fresnel-style fixtures.
