ITV Sales MD designate appointed from Granada

Chief Executive of Granada Enterprises Graham Duff has been appointed Managing Director designate of ITV Sales.
He will lead the single ITV sales operation that will be created through the integration of Carlton’s and Granada’s sales operations, following the merger of the two companies.
Duff said: “ITV Sales will need to work in very close partnership with advertisers and media buyers and really let TV and ITV deliver for advertisers’ brands. My first job will be to put the right people, sales structure and processes in place to make that happen.”
Mick Desmond, Chief Executive designate ITV broadcasting, commented: “We look forward to ITV being able to sell its product as one sales house for the first time, just like any other media business. Graham will bring a wealth of media buying and selling experience to the new role as well as an in-depth understanding of the needs of the advertising community.”
Graham Duff has been Chief Executive of Granada Enterprises since 2001 and was previously Chief Executive of Zenith UK, the largest media-buying agency in the UK.
The appointment further strengthens the position of Granada executives in ITV Plc's senior staff in the wake of the ousting of Carlton Chairman Michael Green from the new company.
