root6 To Host Tech Breakfast
root6 has announced that it is to host a Tech Breakfast later this month.
The event will be held on Wednesday, 23 November, from 8.30am, at Soho Screening Rooms, Berwick Street, London.
"Have you shot footage on a contemporary Canon or Sony camera using anything other than a 2.2 or 2.4 gamma? If so then you are already dabbling in high-dynamic range and the exciting world it promises. As UHD/4K resolution, Rec.2020 colour space and higher frame rates become common, high dynamic range is possibly the most compelling upgrade to the TV experience," says root6.
At the breakfast, the company will not only cover the reasons for gamma in TV, but also the differences between Slog, Clog, HLG (hybrid log gamma), DolbyPQ and ACES.
As always, the breakfast is free to attend but as spaces are limited, prior registration is strongly advised. Breakfast will be served from 8.30am for a 9am start.
