Yellowmoon Invests In New Audio Suite

Northern Ireland-based post-production house Yellowmoon has refurbished its main Dolby theatre, adding the latest audio equipment from Avid.

The audio suite is now equipped with an Avid Pro Tools | S6 control surface and Pro Tools 12.5 software, and has been used on post-production for the latest series of The Fall, produced by Artists Studio, which started airing on BBC Two last month.

Yellowmoon was tasked with creating a soundtrack for Alan Cubbitt's characters to inhabit, while blending in David Holmes' unique score. The aim was to create a soundtrack that complemented both the story and cast performances. The 5.1 sound was mixed by Paul Maynes and picture post was also completed at Yellowmoon using Da Vinci Resolve and Avid DS.

The equipment and installation at Yellowmoon was provided by Tyrell.
