SGO's Mistika v8.7 For IBC

SGO is to introduce Mistika v8.7 at IBC2016, Stand 6.A11. The latest version offers new post-production tools for high-end finishing for VR, HDR grading, and 8K post production.

Mistika 8.7 introduces Immersive Reality VR specific functions; the toolset integrates into existing Mistika Stereo 3D toolsets, and allows users to roto shapes that distort and dynamically adapt to the spherical VR space, allowing for realtime playback and colour grading. Version 8.7 also offers VR streaming capabilities directly to tablets, phones and other network enabled devices.

The update boasts editorial auto-conform interface, providing users with smart filters and matching tools so users can import and link an increasing variety of client provided AAF, EDL, and XML timelines to the intended original media. The new tools also make it easier for clients to auto-conform against untouched source footage as well as re-auto-conform against already worked on media.

In addition, Mistika 8.7 showcases several colour selection Keyers, such as the 3D keyer, RGB keyer, improved HSL keyer, 4th ball highlight recovery tool, HDR mode, and expanded HDR range sliders. These enable users to work well outside of the standard 0 - 100% video range.
