JVC to capture goal-mouth action of World Cup

A JVC camera has been chosen to provide the coverage of the action in front of goal at this year's World Cup in Japan.
The JVC KY-F58U, which will deliver the close-ups of shooting opportunities, is a small 1/3 inch CCD camera head with separate CCU and is capable of a C-mount lens. A Fujinon TF4DA-8 4mm wide-angle lens is being used specifically for the demands of this event.
Kazutoshi Naora, Broadcast and Creation Sales Manager at JVC Hachioji factory in Japan, said: "The JVC cameras are perfect for this type of application as they are robust, reliable and deliver excellent picture quality."
JVC cameras were also been used during the last World Cup, and are currently in use for soccer games in the US.
The World Cup will be held in both South Korea and Japan and is scheduled from May 31 to June 30.
