Harmonic Provides OTT Solution

Harmonic has provided a complete OTT solution to Finland-based telecommunications operator DNA for its TV multiscreen service.

The company's multiscreen processing and delivery solutions allow DNA to deliver live TV channels and VOD content to more than 200,000 subscribers on a range of devices.

DNA has utilised a number of solutions from Harmonic including the WFS file-based workflow engine, ProMedia Carbon file-based transcoder, ProMedia Live real-time multiscreen transcoder, MediaGrid shared storage system and NMX Digital Service Manager. Together, they allow the operator to ingest and convert video content into an array of acquisition, editing, broadcast, web and mobile formats. The workflow solutions offer support for both live and VOD processing, with packaging and origin capabilities through ProMedia Package stream packager and ProMedia X Origin media server.
