Absolute CAD MADness!
Mike Watson, owner of Absolute CAD, has decided to cycle the classic journey from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG) in July 2016.
Mike and best friend Rod have forgone the organised rides which tend to cover the 900 mile journey in 10 to 15 days, in an attempt to complete the challenge in a gruelling 6 days.
Why six days? Well, having checked the world record attempts for LEJOG, they discovered that someone had completed the journey on a unicycle in six days and six hours.
"We have two wheels, we must be able to beat that," claims Mike. He continues: "The huge amount of effort in training and the anticipated pain on the ride itself is in order to raise money for an amazing charity, Shooting Star Chase."
Shooting Star Chase is a leading children's hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, they are on hand to make every moment count.
