Riedel To Highlight Innovation And Growth At 2016 NAB Show

Riedel Communications' real-time video, audio, data, and communications networks are engineered to accommodate both permanent and temporary projects of any size and complexity, supporting live production for broadcast, pro audio, event, sports, and theater, among other use cases.

When Riedel brings its products to Las Vegas for the 2016 NAB Show, it will showcase some of the newest introductions to this robust portfolio, says Christian Bockskopf, Head of Marketing, Riedel Communications.

At the company's 2016 NAB Show booth (C7233), it will showcase MicroN, the high-density signal distribution network for Riedel's MediorNet line of media transport and management solutions, and provide a technology demonstration that shows how MicroN is poised for 4K and IP workflows.

As an alternative to traditional monolithic routers, MicroN provides greater flexibility in building media infrastructures, from signal transport to full video router functionality including signal processing capabilities including frame synchronization, embedding/de-embedding, and delays. A MicroN-based solution can handle SDI signals in a very powerful, tremendously versatile, and highly scalable routing solution. By interconnecting MicroN units to establish a decentralized routing system that distributes signal load, users can benefit from flexible node placement while eliminating any single point of failure.

The 2016 NAB Show also will see the launch of Riedel's new Expansion Smartpanel, designed to extend the number of control surfaces available for the company's RSP-2318 Smartpanel. When directly connected to an RSP-2318 Smartpanel, the expansion keypanel provides an additional 24 keys and four displays that can be read from a very wide angle and even in bright sunlight.

Riedel's RSP-2318 Smartpanel is a powerful multifunctional user interface that offers features and capabilities that enrich the user experience and change the way broadcasters and A/V professionals communicate. It includes three high-resolution multitouch color displays, premium-quality stereo audio, a multilingual character set, and built-in matrix connectivity via AES67 or AVB in just 1 RU.

Riedel's product demonstrations at the 2016 NAB Show also will feature the company's new AES67 client card for the Artist digital matrix intercom system. Along with the existing AVB card, this simple add-on card for Riedel's Artist system makes it possible for users to take advantage of AES67 audio networks. As a result, Artist now can function with both AVB and AES67 audio networks.

Riedel will be highlighting more than just its product portfolio at the show. Over the past year, Riedel's North American team has been expanded significantly, reflecting the company's renewed commitment to this market. With ongoing growth across sales and engineering, some of the industry's best have recently joined Riedel, bringing with them years of knowledge and experience. Many of these new team members will be at Riedel's 2016 NAB Show booth (C7233) to meet existing customers and talk with prospective customers about how Riedel solutions can support their unique projects and productions.
