Imagine Communications Adds To Sales Team

Imagine Communications has appointed Konstantin Vanag as regional sales manager for Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Vanag, who joined Imagine Communications earlier this month, will be based in Moscow and is responsible for strengthening the company's existing client relationships and establishing inroads to new business as the region deliberates a transition from hardware-defined infrastructure to software-based architecture.

"Konstantin has a wealth of industry experience and knowledge that will serve our established and loyal Russian and CIS customer base extremely well," said Mathias Eckert, vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa for Imagine Communications. "These are important markets for us and we are totally committed to providing them with the very best in local sales, pre-sales and service from the Moscow office. Through hiring excellent local personnel like Konstantin, and providing reliable and innovative technical business solutions that are geared specifically to the region, we are better equipped to do this."

Vanag was most recently with AVerMedia, a manufacturer of video capture cards, encoders and multi-platform viewing solutions, where he was in charge of business development across Russia, CIS and the Baltics. He has also held business development and account management positions at Riedel Communications and Canon's broadcast division.
