I-MOVIX Launches INFINITE

I-MOVIX has announced the launch of a new ultra-slow motion camera system, INFINITE. The system combines scalability with trigger-less operation and provides continuous on-board loop recording of over one hour of high frame rate in HD. Frame-accurate ramping of speed without interpolation and compensation is also achieved.

INFINITE is based on Vision Research's Phantom Flex4K camera and the I-MOVIX X10 platform. It can be operated in a range of modes to meet challenging production constraints, as well as help to streamline production logistics when used either in standalone mode without a server, or in conjunction with a server, where it only requires a single channel. Elsewhere, the trigger-less workflow enables production teams to review and save content for a live show, for post-game analysis and for marketing.

Capturing more than one hour of continuous action in high speed and high resolution, INFINITE allows for an entire sports event to be recorded non-stop. As it is able to provide trigger-less coverage, it means a dedicated operator is not required, the camera workflow is simplified, and the production team doesn't risk missing anything.

INFINITE can also be used for remote/IP operation, and in wireless configuration. The remote production capability has potential applications in sports refereeing, allowing the referee to provide ultra-slow motion adjudication of several sport events at the same time, from a unique location.
