RED Digital Cinema To Exhibit At BSC Expo

RED Digital Cinema has announced it is to demonstrate its DSMC2 line of cameras at BSC Expo 2016, 29 – 30 January. The company will showcase WEAPON 6K Carbon Fiber, SCARLET-W 5K, and RED RAVEN 4.5K.

WEAPON Carbon Fiber hosts up to 6K resolution at 100 frames per second, 19 megapixel stills from motion, and fast data speeds up to 300 MB/s.

At £7,425 for the camera BRAIN and £10,820 for the complete Base I/O V-Lock Package, is the SCARLET-W.

RED RAVEN, which is the most accessible camera in the RED ecosystem, is priced starting from £4,440 and has a lightweight durable design that makes it ideal for professionals looking to shoot on the move.

All of RED's DSMC2 cameras offer large dynamic range, shoot simultaneous REDCODE RAW and Apple ProRes recording, weigh less than 2kgs, and adhere to the company's dedication to OBSOLESCENCE OBSOLETE – a core operating principle that allows current RED owners to upgrade their technology as innovations are unveiled and move between camera systems without having to purchase all new gear.

At BSC Expo 2016, RED will also have live demonstrations, including a behind-the-scenes look at RED's customisable broadcast solutions, offering a live 4K signal while capturing 6K R3D masters, as well as dedicated stills-from-motion workflow demonstrations.
