Battersea Evolution Hosts BSC Expo

SCS Exhibitions Ltd. and The British Society of Cinematographers announced last month the new dates and venue for the next BSC Expo. The BSC Expo 2016 will take place at Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park from the 29th – 30th January 2016.

The BSC Expo is the UK's premier event for the Film & TV production industry. The 2016 event will host over 100 companies and brands showcasing the very latest technologies available to the film & TV production industry. In addition there will be a variety of technical presentations within a dedicated seminar theatre located inside the main exhibition hall.

Rob Saunders Event Director of the BSC Expo commented: "The BSC Expo has historically been hosted at one of the UK film studios, however, with productions in the UK taking all the large stage spaces and with the BSC Expo having grown so significantly in recent years we were unable to find a suitable and large enough stage space at any of the UK film studios for 2016. After viewing a variety of different venues, the BSC decided on Battersea Evolution. Battersea Evolution provides a large clear span space allowing the event to grow in size from the 2015 show. In addition it offers easy access for both Exhibitors and Visitors. We hope that visitors will enjoy the ease of being able to attend the event using the public transport links nearby with both Victoria Station and Sloane Square underground being just a short distance away."

Rob went on to comment further: "We are delighted with the support received from the industry and are especially happy to see so many new companies joining the show this year that have not participated at previous BSC Expo events. In addition to a huge array of products on display we will also once again host a full two-day seminar programme including panel discussions with BSC members and other leading European Cinematographers."

The BSC Expo is a free-to-attend event, including all seminars. Last year, over 3,500 attendees visited the show during the two days. There is a late opening on the Friday with the show hours running 10am to 7pm on Friday 29 January and 10am to 4pm on Saturday 30 January.

Battersea Park offers a number of parking options and in addition is located in close proximity to Victoria Station and Sloane Square underground Station. Buses to Queenstown Road (Chelsea Gate) include the 137(N137), 44(N44) and 452 and drop off just a short walk from the venue. Please check both rail and bus timetables for latest information.
