Ravensbourne. Futures In The Making.
We're a university sector college that specialises in digital media and design, with a vocationally focused portfolio of courses. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as pre-degree courses and professional short courses for industry.
We champion creativity and collaboration, and are dedicated to giving our learners the specialist skills and opportunities they need for outstanding careers.
Our undergraduate Broadcast Technology courses include BSc (Hons) Broadcast Audio Technology, BSc (Hons) Broadcast Computing, BSc (Hons) Outside Broadcast Technology and BSc (Hons) Broadcast Systems Technology.
Broadcast specialists work in emerging new media industries in systems design, installation, maintenance and support, to server system support in studio and location production, post-production and transmission. They also engage in supporting news operations, sports coverage, live music events, product launches or theatrical performances.
Our courses introduce students to the field and the changing landscape of production and delivery. We cover all levels of the broadcast industry, from production equipment and systems through to transmission technology. The courses have the approval of the industry and are accredited by both Creative Skillset and BKSTS (British Kinematograph, Sound and Television Society).
Ravensbourne broadcast engineering students are highly sought after and many are working part-time in industry before they graduate. Learning is focused on tutorials, practical exercises and projects guided by teaching staff and external broadcasting professionals.
Driven by industry standards and supported by the latest high-performance technology, we produce highly employable and enterprising graduates.
We have a strong track record in graduate employability and business creation, because we equip our students with the practical skills they need to excel in the workplace.
Our current graduate employability rate, provided by the Higher Education Statistics Agency, is an impressive 97.2%, putting us in the UK's top ten.
