SMPTE announced details of 2003 event

SMPTE are to hold this year's Technical Conference and Exhibition in New York City, November 12-15, 2003 at the Hilton New York.
The four-day conference is comprised of 16 core seminars led by experts and pioneers in motion imaging technology.
SMPTE are also paying close attention to past conference-goers, and what they need in the way of educational seminars. "Our program is responding to the need for more tutorial-based seminars," said Thomas Jordan, SMPTE's Conference VP, "and we've also added half-day registration, so that if you can't attend the entire conference, you can at least attend the seminars that are relevant to you."
Fred Motts, SMPTE's Executive Director, agrees. He said: "We've concluded that demographics of SMPTE conferences are now including more and more users and field staff, and so our seminars, although still technical, reflect a more hands-on approach."
Motts also said that when our conference is finished, attendees returned to their companies equipped with comprehensive problem-solving skills that contribute to the development and success of their products and services.
Edward Hobson, SMPTE's Editorial VP, said: "The program contains a broad spectrum of motion imaging seminars, carefully selected to answer the tough questions needed to be answered by an industry that changes every day."
