Canford release positive financial results

Canford have announced very encouraging financial results.
With notable increases in sales in several sectors, both at home and abroad, Canford seem to be bucking the stagnant market so many companies have been reporting over the last year. Is the market on the way up?
Canford’s 2000/2001 figures are showing increased export sales of 28 per cent on last year’s results. Sales of Canford’s own manufactured products have risen by 12 per cent too. Their wide range of products are manufactured between two plants, one alongside their NE headquarters producing the PCB based lines and the other in Portland in Dorset dealing with the connectors and associated products. During the same period, Canford’s sales of cables alone are up by 14 per cent.
Canford’s Sales & Marketing Manager Barry Revels commented: “We are all very pleased with these results after what has been reported in the press as a difficult period for whole of our industry. We have had to make some difficult decisions over the last two years but I feel as if those are being rewarded now.
“We have concentrated hard on delivering an ever higher standard of customer care with products being available on the shelf when the customer asks. It has taken a lot of hard work by our staff but we now have the best ever product availability and we’re now reaping the benefits”.
Canford will shortly be launching their new 2002 catalogue and there are expected to be substantial additions to their own branded products in particular a new series of digital MUSA connectors as well as to the range overall.
