Pixel Power announces new software release

UK-based company, Pixel Power, have unveiled a major new software release for its established range of proprietary hardware character generator systems at IBC in Amsterdam.
Available in October, the Version E software for Collage2 and Graphite2 offers additional features and language support. Featuring dual PowerPC processors and multiple Pixel processors, Collage2 and Graphite2 are claimed to be the fastest proprietary broadcast character generators available.
The version E software includes language support for multiple Indian dialects (including Hindu and Punjabi), additional Arabic dialects Dari and Pashtu, an interface to Leitch master clocks and improved still store picture browse capability. It also has improvements to logofont editing, an enhanced preview, support for multiple time zones for analog, digital and date clocks and automatic backups for job files.
The Collage2 character generator system is available in a number of different software and hardware configurations to meet customers' specific operational, technical and budgetary requirements. A key feature of the Collage2 family is that graphics created on the top-of-the range GX system can still be played out on the lowest cost TG version.
Graphite2 adds a fully integrated clip store to the established feature set of Collage2. Video clips can be digitised and modified to create dynamic on-air graphics, whilst the GX version has additional creative tools including 2D and 3D key frame animation, rotoscope, filter effects and colour correction.
Recent Collage2 and Graphite2 sales have been made to RTBF and Deutsche Telecom in Belgium, StarHub in Singapore, Saudi TV and STV in Syria.
James Gilbert, Commercial Director of Pixel Power Ltd., commented, "For broadcasters who demand the rugged reliability of proprietary hardware and software, Collage2 and Graphite2 have always been favourite choices. This latest software release incorporates a significant number of productivity enhancements and new features and maintains our leadership of the proprietary hardware broadcast character generator market."
Established in 1987, Pixel Power is dedicated to providing broadcasters and facilities with powerful graphics and character generator products. With a flexible, professional range of award-winning products, Pixel Power has over 1500 systems installed worldwide.
