No Challenge Too Big For Camberwell Studios

Camberwell Studios operates two studios in south London. Since our opening in 2009 we have catered for many different types of clients.

Our large, drive-in access green screen space studio 1 has seen many a set build, car advert and large-scale music video promos. Whereas our pre-lit, soundproofed studio has hosted the cream of business from top-end blue-chip clients, large corporates interviews, BBC productions.

We always have a good mix of clients in our canteen facilities. One such instance, and a good example of our varying productions here was an 80-year-old wheelchair user being interviewed about the merits of a sleek new catheter bag. He could be found between takes, chatting to a 6'6 tall death metal drummer, dressed from head to toe in red leather as the devil. Quite a sight.

We are based in South East London but very well connected to the Northern line tube at Oval, Brixton, Stockwell, Loughborough junction. People from the north coming to Kings Cross/Euston and Waterloo have lots of connections to get here very quickly. We also have parking too.

We pride ourselves in our flexible and friendly approach to all productions. We recently helped make a ballet dancing themed music video by laying lots of sand in the studio. This was in stark contrast to a death metal band who built a padded cell in our Studio 1 complete with tea stains and chains for the look. These productions are now in edit suites across the UK. We'll be here ready and waiting for them to complete their work so we can promote them across all of our social media platforms, blog entries and network events.

Camberwell Studios are proud to offer this pre-booking/apres booking effort to make things a whole lot easier. The London Film Academy enjoyed a discounted 'get-in' and get out rate to make sure that their booking day went smoothly. This consultation helped them plan shooting up at 6 metres on our scaffold tower with a wide angle lens. This was to determine whether or not that marching 12 soldiers into studio 1 would work.

After some careful planning and floor markings and scratching heads we came up with a solid plan. Studio 1 required an extra bit of paint on the floor and some extra green screen walls added. Our space can be tailor-made for any type of shoot. Including low angles – colorama roof is added, high angles – scaffold tower up to 6m high was ideal and extra rigging – goal posts, draping and painting ensured all requirements were met and in budget.

Along with some great dramatic projects we can also help you create a video for you business or organisation for all sorts of goals. You may want to introduce a new product or service, record a company message, create a presenter piece for your show-reel. We can assist at any level of the project. From helping to plan the creative elements, script and storyboard, right through to finalising, we can help you light, shoot and direct your production or we can rent you a cameraman to follow your lead.

We also provide a great-value editing service and our in-house expertise and experience of productions give us a leg up over other production companies. We have the kit and crew in house so we can offer really competitive prices and source the best third party suppliers for any weird and wonderful requests. We can advise in prop-sourcing, hair and make-up and much more for the complete package.

We have worked with large blue chip clients right through to charitable organisations and start up businesses and we treat all of our clients the same.

We share these tip and tricks with you, and readers of this publication will be able to access our series called 'Camberwell Guides' presented to you over the past few years.
