Codex And ARRI Streamline ALEXA SXT Workflow

Digital recording and workflow supplier Codex has announced a collaboration with ARRI to develop the recording and workflow system for the ALEXA SXT.

The companies' engineering teams have worked to create, integrated recording, on-set and near-set data management systems to deliver a streamlined camera-to-post workflow for the ALEXA SXT range of cameras.

The ALEXA SXTs incorporate a new Codex recording engine and support the latest SXR Capture Drives, which offer a data rate of 20GB/s. Customers' existing XR Capture Drives will also work with ALEXA SXT cameras. The SXTs have a new media bay, developed by Codex, that features adaptors for XR and SXR Capture Drives, SxS cards and CFast 2.0 cards.
