Alpermann+Velte launch universal PCI timecode card

Alpermann+Velte are to introduce the first ever "universal PCI" time code reader card (LTC and VITC/DVITC) with compatibility for 3.3 and 5 volt PCI slots.
Time code reader cards for the PCI bus are an important computer hardware solution for software development in fields including subtitling, computer controlled editing, interactive-video, computer-animation, technical scientific analysis and other applications that are based on picture accurate video processing.
With the evolution of the PCI slot adopting a lower voltage 3.3 volt, Alpermann+Velte has kept up with the changing times and released this new, backwards compatible card.
Each card has its own processor system with a register set for data transfer. Critical time routines are thereby completely decoupled from the PC's CPU which enables extensive error checking. An automatic detection the frame rate enables an easy operation (24, 25, 30, 30 DF).
Drivers and support for Windows 98/ME and Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP are standard. C/C++, Visual Basic and Delphi programming languages are also supported.
These cards are available immediately and are a must for anyone who needs a frame accurate PCI bus connection to their existing SDI/analogue video system.
Alpermann+Velte is a European electronics manufacturer for broadcast quality Time Code readers, generators, inserters, displays and master clock/timer systems.
