Ikegami Introduces New Monitors At IBC

News Image
Ikegami is to introduce four new monitors at IBC2014: the HEM-2570W and HEM-1770WR, plus the production-grade HLM-1751WR and HLM-1705WR. These will augment Ikegami's existing range of monitors which include the production-grade HLM-3250W/HLM-2450WB and the HLE-2153G/HLE-1853G affordable 3G standard monitors.

The new HEM-2570W (25-inch) and HEM-1770WR (17-inch) are both Grade-1 OLED monitors with 12-bit display processing which contributes to true colour reproduction and deep black. Both monitors are designed for use as master reference displays in environments such as production facilities, master control rooms, presentation studios and playout suites.
The HEM-2570W incorporates a 1920 x 1080 native OLED panel capable of resolving 1 billion colours. Display specification parameters include 250 candela per square metre brightness, 5000:1 contrast ratio and 178 degree vertical/horizontal viewing angle. An integral test pattern generator, waveform monitor and vectorscope allow the display to be used both for picture and signal monitoring. Split-screen, dot-by-dot, interlace, waveform and vectorscope viewing mode can each be selected from the front panel.
Two multi-SDI inputs and plus one multi-SDI output are provided, each capable of handling 3G, HD or SD. Additional connectivity capabilities comprise two composite video inputs, two composite video outputs, an RGB/YPbPr analogue component input, analogue PC input and DVI-D input.
The HEM-2570W can be powered from 100 to 240 volt AC mains or 12 volt DC. Power consumption is 88 watts. Width x height x depth dimensions are 585 x 398 x 80 mm and weight is approximately 10 kg. An optional auto set-up probe, model ASP-100, is available.
Ikegami's HEM-1770WR is a compact version of the HEM-2570W with essentially identical features for applications such as mobile production vehicles or graphic suite desks where space may be at a premium. WHD dimensions are 428 x 301 x 90 mm, weight is 7 kg and power consumption is 70 watts.
The Ikegami HLM-1751WR is a 17 inch 1920 x 1080 multi-format LCD colour monitor with an LED backlit panel. It has two SDI input channels, each accepting 3G-SDI, HD-SDI or SD-SDI 4:2:2, plus a monitor output video channel with 5.1 audio mixdown. Output can be selected manually or in auto-follow mode. Up to 100 still images may be captured from the monitor direct to USB memory. The HLM-1751WR requires 45 watts of power and operates from AC mains or DC. Fixed or tiltable monitor stands are available as options. WHD dimensions are 428 x 301 x 96 mm.
Model HLM-1705WR is a more cost-effective 17 inch LCD colour monitor with full HD resolution, making its first European exhibition appearance.
