Latest Version Of Alchemist OD Is Now Available
Snell has announced the immediate availability of the latest version of Alchemist OD, which adds support for Apple ProRes file formats.
The update is one of many product enhancements included in the maintenance package.
The latest release extends Alchemist OD's range of supported codecs to include ProRes 4444, ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, ProRes 422 LT and ProRes 422 Proxy.
"This new Alchemist OD feature brings a higher degree of interoperability to file-based workflows for our customers," explained Jeremy Courtney, business leader Snell On Demand. "ProRes is one of the most popular codecs used in the professional video and post-production community, and we're extremely excited to be able to offer it to our customers."
Alchemist OD combines Snell's image processing expertise with commodity IT equipment, saving time and money whilst safeguarding quality. Its Service Orientated Architecture and floating licensing model provide the versatility to evolve and adapt with changing business requirements.
